Welcome to Moon Flower Rug Hooking Studio. I am an Ontario Hooking Craft Guild (O.H.C.G.) certified instructor and fibre artist dedicated to exploring the imaginative boundaries of traditional and contemporary rug hooking.
My journey into the craft
My fascination with rug hooking began with a cherished collection of antique rugs that needed delicate repair. After retiring, I earned my O.H.C.G. certification during the pandemic, merging my deep passion for textiles with years of experience working with people. Today, I create original designs and share techniques with students across Canada and beyond.
Pushing creative boundaries
I am always testing the limits of rug hooking by experimenting with fresh techniques, recycled textiles, and 3D sculpting. Drawing inspiration from nature, the river, and the beach, my pieces range from impressionistic landscapes to vibrant sculptural forms like spring tulips, cactus gardens, and wearable art.
Online, guild meetings and retreats
Whether guiding virtual classes or visiting guilds and retreats, my goal is to give every maker a rewarding experience. You will master reusable techniques, unlock creative confidence, and produce a finished, one-of-a-kind art piece to showcase proudly in your home.
